Linda Weppner Wins Leadership Award
The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce was proud to host the Women’s Leadership Award Luncheon presented by Woodhouse Roden Nethercott, LLC. During the event the award recipient was announced by last year’s recipient, Renee Ashworth, owner of Express Employment Professionals.
During the presentation of the award Ashworth shared,”While there were many deserving nominees, one leader stood above the rest. Her achievements in both professionally and personally were unparalleled and easily identifiable by the number of nominations she received and the broad base of community and business industry professionals who shared how her specific leadership was so impact.”
The 2017 winner of the Women’s Leadership Award is Linda Weppner, Owner of Century 21 Bell Real Estate.
Professionally, Linda has owned her own business, Century 21 Bell Real Estate since 1980. She also serves to pass on her success as an instructor for the real estate industry. Linda is an approved instructor by the WY Association of Realtors for Ethics I & II and numerous other subjects. One nominator wrote, “She pushes herself to excel in all facets of her profession.” Linda has served on the Women’s Civic League of Cheyenne since 1976, various Boards include the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She has not only served the business community but also those less fortunate through the Realtor Family Fund Coordinator and the Canned Food Drive. Another nominator stated, “Linda sets the example in service to our community, leadership and service above self.”

Past recipients of the award includes Renee Ashworth of Express Employment Professionals, Lori Schoene of ANB Bank, Sharon Fain of WyoBrand Strategies, Gay Woodhouse of Woodhouse Roden Nethercott and many other influential leaders of Laramie County. The Cheyenne Women’s Entrepreneur Roundtable annually selects the finalists and winner of the award. There were more than 20 nominations for this year’s selection.
