Mayor Shares Wins of 2018
Mayor Marian Orr shared today with the City of Cheyenne “wins” of 2018.
During the State of the City address at the Cheyenne Civic Center this morning the Mayor highlighted achievements of City Councilmen, City Staff, area businesses and community partners. She shared the advancements they have made in her “Fight the Blight” initiative, the newly announced public WiFi that will be coming to Cheyenne with a partnership between Microsoft and the Greater Cheyenne Foundation, and the community investment happening throughout town like the much anticipated Blue Federal Credit Union Headquarters where the Cole Shopping Center is now. Other advancements have been made in transportation with both a new terminal and new air service, as well as the new connector of Christiansen Road is making progress.
Newly elected City Councilman of Ward 3, Ken Esquibel expressed, “This needs to be a city of vibrancy 365 days a year and I am looking forward to working with her on issues she addressed in her speech; opening Belvoir Ranch for more recreational activities, Crow Creek restoration to adding adequate infrastructure to our community for future business growth.”
