Nathan Cline Named Student of the Week for LCSD #1
Nathan Cline, a junior at Triumph High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 4.
Cline was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to military parents (Mom, Air Force; Dad, Army and Air Force). He has lived in Florida, Alabama and Texas. He moved to Cheyenne in 2016.
Cline played soccer and football in Alabama and he is a prolific skateboarder. Additionally, he owns and operates his own tie-dye business.
According to Triumph High art teacher Sara Willson, Cline is a creative student who often makes connections beyond the curriculum.
“For example, he once created a functioning didgeridoo in his ceramics class that he used as a musical instrument,” Willson said. “He is courteous and often does not take credit for acts of kindness, such as helping set up or clean up common classroom areas without being asked.”
He fully participates in all aspects of class and his production in class is very inclusive of other students, she added. Recently, Willson also nominated Cline as Triumph High’s Fine Arts Student of the Week.
