New weekly newspaper has launched in Cheyenne
A new weekly community newspaper has been launched today in Cheyenne, Wyoming – The Cheyenne Post.
Its companion news website TheCheyennePost.com was launched a month ago. The new media enterprise is likely among the few or only newspaper launches in the nation today.
“This is an exciting time, and we are very grateful for the warm welcome the community has given to us and this newspaper,” said Vince Bodiford, who serves as editor and publisher of The Cheyenne Post, and is also the President and CEO of its parent company, Golden Media, Inc. Both are based in Cheyenne. “Vol. 1, No. 1 for any newspaper is a very special issue, and ours is a modest 8-page paper that we believe will continue to grow and serve the community,” Bodiford said of the first issue. “Little acorns grow into large trees,” he said.
Complimentary copies of the newspaper are available throughout Cheyenne, and the company plans to add box racks soon. Subscriptions will be delivered by US Mail.
