Olivia Humble Named LCSD #1 Student of the Week
Olivia Humble, who is a seventh-grade student at Johnson Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 20.
Humble maintains a 4.0 GPA while being involved with the school’s volleyball and swimming teams. Outside of school she is a member of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra and plays softball. During her spare time, she volunteers in the nursery at her church.
According to the selection committee, she is always punctual and a role model for other students.
“Olivia exemplifies what it means to be a part of a community,” committee members said. “She is a selfless student who goes above and beyond to represent her family, friends and school in a positive manner.”
She plans to attend Colorado State University and earn her degree to become veterinarian focusing on large animals and equine.
“I’m actually really honored,” Humble said. “I’ve worked really hard on being a good person because that’s what my family taught me. Grades and community service are important to me.”
