Progress on Downtown Cheyenne 17th St. Lighting

Commissioned in 2014 was the lighting of 17th street. The project now will be completed this year and great progress has been made. The intention is to have strung lights above the streets from Warren to Pioneer in downtown Cheyenne.

The Downtown Core, a coalition comprised of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Visit Cheyenne, Downtown Development Authority/Mainstreet and Cheyenne Leads, surfaced the project as a priority with their initiatives in 2016 and since the City of Cheyenne proceeded to finish the project. When on 17th Street you will see the poles currently and the beginning of the strung lights going up. Completion is in the near feature.
