Seed Library of Laramie County Celebrating 2019 Kickoff at Laramie County Library
On Saturday, April 20th at 10:00 a.m. in the Willow Room, the Laramie County Library and Laramie County Master Gardeners will be celebrating the 2019 Seed Library Kickoff.
Community members are invited to the library to pick up free seeds and receive tips for affordable, simple gardening. The Seed Library of Laramie County has compiled a wide variety of flowers, herbs, and vegetables for attendees to choose from, each of which is suitable for beginner gardeners in Wyoming’s climate.
The Seed Library of Laramie County is a joint project between Laramie County Library System and Laramie County Master Gardeners. The project has been providing the county with access to gardening resources since 2017 and welcomes everyone in the community to utilize the classic borrow-return system. The Seed Library encourages people to borrow seeds, grow them, and return any that are saved from the crop. Individuals do not need a library card to check out seeds or to attend the April 20th event, and each person can take up to 12 packets of seeds home with them.
Seed Library of Laramie County is excited to kick-off Wyoming’s growing season with this event. Come to the library on April 20th to get your green-thumb going!
