Iconic Big Boot Unveiling in Honor Of Cheyenne’s 150th Anniversary
Simon Contractors will be celebrating Cheyenne’s 150th anniversary by unveiling one-of-a-kind boots created by local artists. The boots will be permanent residents of Cheyenne and will carry on the creative Cheyenne Big Boot tradition. Proceeds from businesses that sponsor each boot directly support the Career Technical Education Program at Laramie County Community College, a program dedicated to teaching innovative students in the skilled trade industry.
Although, currently these impressive 8′ tall boots can be seen around town; this Tuesday, July 4th, at noon original boots will be unveiled at Romero Park during the 150th celebration. Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Chairman Nick Dodgson and Simon Contractors will be presenting the boots to the community. The public is encouraged to watch the celebration and commemorate the rich history of our city and state.
