Taco John’s Raised Money for Climb Wyoming
Every year, Taco John’s celebrates the holiday season by offering its fan-favorite, Nachos Navidad®.
During the promotion, guests that order the festive menu item are encouraged to make a donation to a local charity in the area. In addition to customer donations, Taco John’s in Cheyenne donated a portion of the proceeds from every Nachos Navidad purchase to Climb Wyoming.
This past holiday season, from Nov. 12 to Dec. 30, Taco John’s in Cheyenne raised $4,168.42 for Climb Wyoming and recently presented a check to the local organization. Climb Wyoming’s mission is for low-income single mothers to discover self-sufficiency through career training and placement. The Climb program has evolved into one of the nation’s most successful models for moving families out of poverty.
“We look forward to Nachos Navidad each year because of the donations we receive and present to life-changing organizations throughout our community,” said Jim Creel, CEO of Taco John’s International, Inc. “Our community loves coming in for Taco John’s signature Nachos Navidad and when they learn about the opportunity to make a donation, they are always excited to participate. We can’t wait to raise more money and celebrate with everyone in Cheyenne next holiday season.”
Over the last 20 years, the popular Mexican quick-service brand has collectively raised millions of dollars for hundreds of organizations where Taco John’s restaurants are located. The hyper-local approach to fundraising allows franchisees to choose a worthy cause in the communities they serve.
