The funds raised for the downtown Splash Pad has reached a pledge amount of $505k.
In total funds needed to complete the project is $550,000, leaving only $45k more to raise. Local business professionals and community volunteers dedicated time to making calls to potential donors on Tuesday, September 18th and it resulted in a significant increase to funds raised. They raised a total of $26k. Additionally, the telethon provided a platform to further educate the community on this amenity and formed new relationships for future giving.
Thus far, the City held a pre-bid conference during the week of September 10th. There were many interested and qualified businesses present taking the project into consideration.
