The First One Hundred Years
Wyoming Bank & Trust celebrates 100 years.
In 1919, Andrew L. Kendig started a banking business right here in Laramie county. This is the bank we know as Wyoming Bank & Trust.
In 1970 Dennis Wallace purchased the controlling interest and became the Bank President and Chairman of the Board. As the banking industry continued to change dramatically, Dennis suggested a bold way to defy the trends of merging or selling for survival: Stay small in spirit.
“When you enter a first-class hotel, you know you are in a high-quality establishment within the first sixty seconds. Even if the setting is spectacular, it is the people who bring that setting to life. Likewise, when you enter a community bank it is the people who make the bank what it is.” Dennis Wallace
