This is Me Featuring Guest, Melissa Martin
On this episode of This is Me, meet guest Melissa Martin.
Melissa loves to communicate! As a life-long learner and an experienced instructor – with both credit and non-credit college classes – she delivers relevant, engaging content to students and professionals. Her areas of expertise include team-building, communication, workplace success, strategic planning, visioning, and professional development.
Melissa is the owner of MMartinCommunication and enjoys the variety of groups she engages with. She is a certified facilitator for DiSC Personality Assessment, Bridges out of Poverty, Crucial Conversations, and Workplace Stability. She lives in a multi-generational household where she enjoys Sunday dinners and family road trips.
When she’s not teaching, she likes to walk her dog and cook for her family. Join us as Melissa speaks about growing up in a military family, the major role Girl Scouts has had throughout her lifetime and the childhood tragedy that changed her life forever. Through her story of hard-ship and resilience, she credits the mentors in her life who didn’t let her walk the road alone.
“Who I am is good. I thought I wouldn’t have to show my weaknesses because that would be, you know, detrimental but it’s o.k. It’s o.k. This is who I am with all my flaws and all my strengths.” -Melissa Martin
