Mentors from the Cheyenne community gather to give inspiration to others on first impressions.
On Monday, April 16, 2018 the United Way of Laramie County Emerging Leaders hosted a Dress For Success event. Leaders from the community gave tips to the participants about first impressions, and lasting impressions.
Tara Nethercott, Wyomig State Legislature and Partner at Woodhouse Roden Nethercott, LLC, gave advise on how to shop for clothing that gives that great first impression, without spending more than you can afford. She said, “Pay attention where you work, pay attention to the leaders you work with for examples. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but be sure that you take pride in the way you look.”
Julie’s Career Closet played a large role in this event, providing several outfits that were modeled during the Model Runway portion of the evening. Helping to show simple and affordable ways to dress for success.
Kevin Harris shared 10 tips to make a great impression.
Kelli Kelly ended her presentation with this statement, “Walk on purpose. Be kind, be confident and use your manners.”
