West Edge Steam Plant Purchased for Future Development
The downtown Steam Plant at 800 W. 17th St. was purchased
Back in 2016 a buyers business partners, Chet Halvorson and Craig Riley closed on the purchase of the Steam Plant with the intention of converting it into a food court and was expected to have West Edge Collective as a core tenant. The vision was not able to be completed and challenges resulted in putting the Plant on the market. West Edge Collective found a home with their own building at 707 W Lincolnway, which as been a great business addition to the West Edge.
The City of Cheyenne Economic Development Director, Brendan Ames shared during a Facebook Broadcast on Monday, September 23rd, the recent purchase of the Steam Plant. There is still hope yet, that the gem in West Edge will be developed in the future by the individual who recently acquired the property.
