Western States Bank Announces Ann Nelson as New Wyoming Market President

Western States Bank is excited to announce that it has appointed Ann Nelson as its new Wyoming Market President.

Nelson will work across Wyoming to connect businesses, families and individuals to Western States Bank’s banking and investment teams.

“With over 25 years of professional commercial banking, business development and administration experience in the Wyoming market, Ann will ensure that we continue helping make our customers’ financial lives better,” said Gary Crum, Chairman, President and CEO of Western States Bank. “Please stop into one of the Cheyenne or Laramie Western States Bank offices and welcome Ann to the team.”

Before finishing a three-year certificate program at Colorado Graduate School of Banking, Nelson obtained her Bachelor of Science in General Business Management and Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Wyoming.

As Wyoming Market President, Nelson aims to leverage the bank’s resources to address local priorities and help build stronger communities throughout Wyoming.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to serve the community as part of my career in banking,” said Nelson, who has served as a member of various Rotary Clubs in the region and on the Wyoming Business Alliance Board of Directors and University of Wyoming College of Business Advisory Board.

“I plan to continue to serve the community alongside Western States Bank as Wyoming Market President and I am thankful for this opportunity to combine my passion for banking with my passion for service.”
