Minimum Wage is Getting a Raise

For almost half of the U.S., the first of the year brought about minimum wage increases. Twenty-two states opted to raise their minimum wage, many to $15 per hour. Washington D.C., along with three additional states, plan to raise minimum wages later on in the year. Twenty states, including Wyoming, are keeping minimum wage at the federal level of $7.25. This number has stayed the same since 2009.
