Lights Out 2nd Day of Session
While the Capitol is under renovation the legislature is being held in the Jonah Bank of Wyoming Center.
Twice in one day the power has gone out at the building. Additionally the LSO Website has been down as well. Hopefully these are not signs for how this upcoming budget session will play out. Local policy makers need to come with their “A-game” to address issues this session pertaining to education, economic development and much more.
Here are the top 3 items to anticipate this session to radar according to President/CEO of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Dale Steenbergen.
- Education Funding
- Skilled Nursing Center
- Extra Territorial Jurisdiction
During the session organizations who specialize in community and economic development like the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and other special interest groups, will frequently be at the Jonah Center. Along with many community events and activities throughout the community. The activity of the session is only beginning.
