Anything Is Possible With Assistance Dogs
Spotted in Cheyenne, Wyoming at various summer events and gatherings, are the “assistance dogs in training” by K9s for Mobility.
Think of it all as their own personal bootcamp to have exposure to crowds and noises. In fact, they are often brought to the Friday’s in the Plaza, Cheyenne Frontier Days Park and Parades, in addition to the K9s Mobility training facility, for optimal exposure. Once the dogs complete their training they will assist in reinstating independence for their “person.”
These assistance dogs are placed all over the Nation. They are impacting lives daily with their work and it is incredible to know that it all starts right here in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
During Frontier Days on Dey Avenue, in the neighborhood near the park entrance, check out the Cheyenne Wheels for Charity Car and purchase a $25 ticket to win the ‘42 Ford Coupe.
Proceeds captured from sales will go toward three local charities; K9s for Mobility, SafeHouse and Wyoming Business Advocates. Tickets are $25 a piece and will be raffled off at the New Years Eve Ball Drop. Participants do not have to be present to win.
