City of Cheyenne Among Several Closures Ahead of Predicted Blizzard
City Offices, School District and Base all Shut Down
Due to blizzard conditions in southeast Wyoming, the City of Cheyenne has announced a complete closure of non-emergency offices effective 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10. This includes staff at the Board of Public Utilities (BOPU), however, please call 307-637-6471 if you have a water or sewer emergency. Due to the closure, transit buses will also not be available after 11 a.m.
Laramie County School District #1 announced early releases for all schools beginning at 11:15am. All school functions scheduled for April 10th are also canceled.
Both the City of Cheyenne and Laramie County School District will notify employees and the public if weather will interfere with normal business operations past Wednesday.
Other closures for Wednesday include FE Warren AFB, all LCCC campuses and the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne.
