The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating homicide

The CPD is investigating the homicide of a 21 year-old female, which occurred at 620 Central Ave. The victim’s identity is being withheld until her family can be notified. Officers were dispatched to the location for a deceased person at
approximately 11:45 a.m. on June 26.

The suspect has been identified as Emigdio Lara, 57, of Cheyenne. He has blue eyes, brown hair, is approximately 5’10” and 200 pounds. Lara was seen on surveillance cameras today, June 26, wearing a red sweater with a dark stripe on the front.

If anyone knows Lara’s whereabouts, please call the dispatch center at 307-637-6525. If you see Lara, do not approach him and call 911 immediately. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
