Epic Battle for Culinary Bragging Rights to Raise Funds for the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra
The Cheyenne Symphony Friends presents “Battle Carbonara!”, a FUNdraiser for the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra! Don’t miss this once in a lifetime event! Watch as Maestro William Intriligator takes on Italian guest artist Dino De Palma in the ultimate cooking challenge!
Aside from the entertainment value of this historic epicurean battle, an Italian-themed, gourmet meal and wines are also included with your ticket purchase. The event is Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 5:30 PM—Battle Carbonara at Little America in the Wyoming Room
“When I was growing up, Spaghetti Carbonara was always a favorite, and my parents would make it often,” says William Intiligator, CSO Music Director and Conductor. “Then I went to Italy and had it there, which blew my mind. As an adult, I’ve tried to constantly improve my skills at making this dish, to the point that it is one of my specialties,” brags Intriligator.
The Maestro’s “trash-talk” continues: “I’m banking on the fact that Carbonara, while loved by all Italians, is not the specialty of the Southern region of Italy from which Dino hails. He’s more of a seafood guy. I’m hoping that gives me a slight edge! Also, I have a few secrets and personal touches to the recipe that I hope will help mine stand out.”
This event is the annual fundraiser presented by the Symphony Friends, an organization of passionate and dedicated volunteers who support the CSO’s mission by raising funds and sharing their time and talent to support Symphony initiatives. Maestro William Intriligator and challenger, guest artist Dino De Palma will be available for some pre-game trash talk (media interviews) prior to the event.
