Fill the Gaps Tour
Social Hour Property Tour!
The Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is announcing a first-ever social hour event that centers around five downtown properties that are available for lease or sale. This DIY property tour will take place on Friday, October 19th from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. The locations were selected on their ease of walkability and focus on retail and eating/drinking uses. The sites selected for this inaugural social hour property tour include: The Mendicino Building (215 W. 17th); Pioneer Building retail (207 W. 17th); Glenn Garrett’s space at 119 W. 17th; the space at 113 W. 17th and the Frontier Hotel building (1901 Central Avenue). Light appetizers and wine will be available at the tour locations to bolster the social hour vibe.
The tour is geared toward reaching existing local businesses who are looking to expand, home-based businesses who are ready to launch into a storefront, and out-of-town businesses who are looking to come into the Cheyenne market. The spaces on the tour include a variety of floorplans and sizes. Four of the properties are for lease; with one that is for sale.
Esther Gonzales, DDA’s new Business Development Specialist, and James Bowers, a local realtor with Coldwell Banker, came up with the idea for a DIY social hour property tour and found local property owners and agents eager to participate. Showing a group of properties within the context of a social hour will allow potential tenants, or owners, the ability to look and ask questions in a more relaxed atmosphere. This tour is the first in what DDA hopes to be a quarterly event.
