Money Can’t Buy Happiness – But Some Disagree
It’s no secret that American feelings towards the economy haven’t been wholly positive as of late. A recent survey conducted by Empower shows that the majority of people are now disagreeing with the classic quote that money can’t buy happiness, with 59% of respondents saying that it could. Among all of the generations, millennials agree with this the most, with 72% believing that money can buy happiness.
According to survey results, the higher the salary respondents currently had, the more money they thought they needed to be happy. People currently making over $200,000 yearly said they needed to make $350,000, while respondents in lower income brackets said that $33,250 would be enough for them.
