Have you always wanted to put a politician in their place? Here is your chance with Plunge the Politician.
On Saturday, June 9 at 1 o’clock to 5 o’clock at Danielmark‘s brewing Company, you can pay to plunge a politician. The proceeds raised will go toward the Downtown Cheyenne Splash Pad. The idea of pursuing this project came up during the 150th celebration of the City of Cheyenne. The amenity is expected to beautify the Depot Plaza with an additional amenity great for children.
In accordance to the resolution passed by the City Council funds will, “enhance the Depot Plaza by constructing a water feature for economic development purposes, to include a historically important statue.”
The City of Cheyenne will fund up to $250,000 of the project and the remaining projected amount of $300,000 will be constructed of private donations and fundraisers.
“The City of Cheyenne is excited to partner in the effort and happy to assist with the private donation collection and fundraisers. It is a community project and it is going to be community funded! Then it will be enjoyed by the whole community after it is constructed.” expressed Plunge the Politician Coordinator and City Councilman, Rocky Case, “It is going to be a beautification project and adding to a site in downtown which needs cosmetic help and for the benefit of families is a great direction. The space was designated for this kind of recreation and activity, now is the chance to fill it and keep people in Cheyenne.”
